The modules of CPAPractice Manager provide a complete management system including:

Time Entry
An intuitive time entry screen encourages on-screen, daily entry by employees. Simply start typing the first few letters of the client name or number and service code - the system will find the match. Update the status of a project and use timers to automatically track and record time as it is being spent on a client. An Appointments Calendar and In/Out Status are also available. Client notes displays an ongoing list of notes to file made on this client by any employee in your firm. You can sort, filter and print client notes from most any module of VPM.

Contact Management
When communicating with a client, you can quickly access all their information including:

Contacts information such as email address, phone & fax numbers...and this information can be synchronized with Microsoft Outlook!
Business affiliates such as their banker or attorney.
Outstanding Work-in-Process
Accounts receivable including last payment date and last invoice date
All prior invoices. You can even view on-screen the actual invoice that was sent to your client as well as the work-in-process that made up that invoice.
Names of your staff that are responsible for this client
Additional profile information on this client including a referral source on how this client was obtained (i.e. tax seminar or bank referral)
Unlimited user-defined fields where you can track custom information about the client.

Billing
On-screen billing has never been easier, however traditional billing worksheets are also available. Bill by category, sub-category or detail service code. Additionally you can bill by employee or by project. Want to see what you billed the client last year for the same services? - view prior invoices directly from the billing screen.

Invoices
A fully editable WYSIWYG invoice screen within VPM allows you to customize invoices for each client without using a third-party application such as MS Word. Start with default or custom formats, add your company's logo, decide if you want dollar amounts by each line item or summarized billing and choose from the numerous display format options, or simply type directly onto the invoice screen. Once completed, save this invoice format for future use.

Project Management
View and track all client projects as they move through your firm towards completion. With the Project Management module you can:

Budget project hours and/or dollars
Assign and schedule employee time to a project
Track "original", "current" and "target" due dates
Track employee's time on a project by having the system prompt for project information during time entry
Track budget-to-actual information on a project
Enter and track projects by client, project type, partner, manager, reviewer, responsible person, entity type or work type
Extend a group of projects and if desired display on-screen the actual extension form for input of extension information

Reports
Hundreds of management reports are available categorized by: Employees, Service Codes, Marketing, Due Dates, Budgets, Schedules and Project Management. Additionally, VPM uses a Microsoft SQL database allowing unlimited SQL reporting capabilities.
